Frequently asked questions
Which files can I use?
Choose MP4, MOV, WebM or GIF, up to 20 MB and 15 seconds. The long side must be at most 1920 pixels and the short side at most 1080 pixels. Select a segment between 1 and 5 seconds.
How do I convert a GIF to a sticker?
Choose a GIF, select a 1–5 second segment, and adjust the square framing. Convert it, check the animated preview, then download your looping WebP sticker. The same tool handles both video and GIF files.
Can I turn a GIF into a WhatsApp sticker?
Yes. First convert your GIF to an animated WebP here. For WhatsApp on Android, download at least three different stickers and use our companion Beta app to save and add a pack. The GIF or WebP download alone is not an imported WhatsApp sticker.
Is my video uploaded?
Your video stays in your browser for this conversion. Your browser downloads the site and conversion engine files, but this tool does not upload your media.
Can I add the download directly to WhatsApp?
The download is an animated WebP file. On Android, create at least three different stickers, then use our companion Beta app to save a pack and confirm Add to WhatsApp. Downloading alone does not add a sticker. iPhone import is not included.
Does this remove the background?
No. Transparent padding keeps your whole frame inside the square and preserves existing transparency. It does not remove a solid background.
Why can’t I preview my video?
Some codecs cannot play in your browser even when the conversion engine can read them. If the file passes the engine check, you can still convert it and inspect the generated result.
Will this work on my phone?
Conversion depends on your browser and available memory. A first engine load is about 31 MB. If processing fails, try a smaller clip or another browser. Mobile compatibility and performance are still being validated.
