How to Add Animated Stickers to WhatsApp on Android
Start with a video or GIF and create animated WebP stickers in our browser tool. Downloading a WebP does not add it to WhatsApp. Our Android companion app groups your downloaded stickers into a pack, which you confirm inside WhatsApp.

- Open the video and GIF sticker tool. Choose a video or GIF, select 1–5 seconds, adjust the framing, and preview the animation. Download the animated WebP, then repeat until you have 3–30 different stickers. Keep the files in a folder you can find on your Android device.
- Install the companion app on Android 9 or later. Open it and select the downloaded WebP files together using the system file picker.
- Check the animated previews, name your pack, and save it. Identical files cannot fill multiple slots in a pack.
- Choose Add to WhatsApp and confirm the pack in WhatsApp. Find your pack in the sticker panel of a chat.
Keep your pack available
Keep the companion app installed and retain its app data so WhatsApp can read your saved stickers. The companion stores selected stickers on your device and does not need network, contacts, or photo library permissions.
This companion workflow is for Android WhatsApp. An iPhone import workflow is not included. Emulator testing does not establish compatibility with every phone or WhatsApp Business.
If a file is rejected, create a new download with this tool and select at least three different stickers. Sending a WebP as a photo or document is a different action from adding a sticker pack.
